Disney’s Mulan Deleted Scene: Reflection
In my opinion, deleting this scene from “Reflection” was a terrible mistake. The song is beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but this added part takes a somewhat disparing song and makes being different empowering and strong.

Yeah, Lea Salonga was heartbroken that they cut the song. I can understand why. This part is inspirational.

I don’t know. I think the scene is beautiful but it kind of makes it seem like she’s directing it at her parents when her parents, especially her dad, seem to be okay with her not being a perfect bride. The way they had it seems more like she’s directing it at society and how she’ll never make her family proud by society’s standards.
I don’t know. I’m torn. I really like where the scene was going and the storyboard was really nice especially with all the Buddhist imagery which Buddhism is all about becoming beautiful and blossoming despite starting off in unattractive beginnings.
I like the animation like kdjhjhkgjhfksjh this is cute
